All great storytelling requires us to surrender. The artist lets go of their own biases in order to serve a grander narrative. The audience suspends their own judgments and beliefs so as to be moved by the creative forces of life being expressed through a variety of characters and adventures. When we engage with stories we can't help but be transformed because storytelling is an exchange of the soul, a communication that helps us see things with new eyes and broadens our perspective.
